The Art of Law
What does law look like?
It depends.
Standard chart types are insufficient for conveying the intuition(s) behind the perspective of law as a complex system that underlies much of our work.
Hence, we continuously explore the design space of alternative visualizations, borrowing our nomenclature from nature to emphasize the view of law as a dynamic, evolving ecosystem.
Below are some visualization types that we are currently working with (and constantly refining).
Fibers
Revealing connections between multiple (legal) documents.
Flowers
Capturing the contextualization of case law.
Trees
Exposing structure and connectivity in legislation.
Vines
Recording the rhythms of legal argumentation.
